Position Summary

Zenius Corporation is seeking an IV&V Analyst / QA / Project Controls Analyst to support Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) activities for the U.S. Department of Education's Impact Aid Grants System (IAGS), an Appian-based application hosted in a FedRAMP AWS environment.

This role supports the IV&V Program Manager and technical SMEs by reviewing project deliverables, coordinating project controls, tracking risks and action items, and preparing objective, evidence-based reports and recommendations. This is an oversight role, not a software development position.

Appian project experience is strongly preferred to help evaluate project artifacts, release documentation, testing results, user stories, and Agile deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project deliverables, technical documentation, and software artifacts for quality, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain project trackers, including action items, risks, issues, deliverables, decision logs, and evidence repositories.
  • Support biweekly status meetings by preparing agendas, documenting meeting minutes, and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Conduct quality reviews of requirements, user stories, test plans, test results, release notes, defect logs, and project documentation.
  • Assist with monthly IV&V reports, quarterly assessments, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Review Appian project artifacts, sprint deliverables, release documentation, performance metrics, and operational reports.
  • Coordinate with technical and security SMEs to consolidate findings and recommendations.
  • Identify project risks, documentation gaps, quality issues, and schedule concerns while supporting corrective action tracking.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in QA, IV&V, PMO, project controls, business analysis, software delivery oversight, or related roles.
  • Experience reviewing software development artifacts, including requirements, design documents, test plans, test results, release documentation, and defect logs.
  • Experience managing project schedules, risks, action items, and deliverable tracking.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills with experience preparing reports, findings, and executive summaries.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and project collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Appian or other low-code/BPM platforms.
  • Experience with Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) or independent project assessments.
  • Experience supporting federal government IT programs.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery, release management, UAT, regression testing, and requirements traceability.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, PMBOK, ITIL, FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP, or Section 508.
  • Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile project management tools.

Preferred Certifications

  • Appian Associate Developer or Appian Analyst (preferred)
  • PMP, CAPM, CSM, or ITIL Foundation
  • Security+, Section 508, or QA-related certification
