The Role
We’re seeking a mid-level Full-Stack Engineer with strong Node.js skills to drive backend development and contribute to the frontend as needed. This is an opportunity to influence product decisions, suggest improvements, and build solutions. Your Node.js expertise will be key in driving our backend, with chances to impact the full product lifecycle.
What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain Node.js services and serverless functions
- Build and integrate REST APIs with complex disclosure logic
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines
- Explore and test improvements to legacy codebases
- Contribute to frontend development using React/TypeScript (as needed)
- Be part of system design, technical discussions, and problem-solving
- Work with the PO and team to clarify functionality and propose architectural improvements
Requirements
- Solid experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on NodeJS development (2-5 years)
- Strong understanding of the NodeJS runtime environment and the NPM package ecosystem
- Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Practical experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Akamai and AWS
- Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment
- Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Ability to dig deep into code and complex issues to identify root causes
- Capable of explaining technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- A curious mindset with an openness to exploring other technologies (e.g., PHP) and their potential applications
Nice to have
- Previous experience with disclosure systems, access control, or multi-tenant platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and DevOps culture
- Analytical mindset and an interest in improving legacy systems
