The Role

As a QA Engineer you ensure that the products meet the required quality standards. Your work mainly involves software testing (manual & automation) , and you are responsible for developing and documenting testing procedures to make sure the software products are functioning properly and are usable.

You will be responsible for testing and supporting cloud native, highly available, robust and secure applications in the AWS environment. You will have experience in backend, API and database testing.

With automation and maintenance being at the heart of our engineering principles, this position will have the enviable opportunity to adopt and promote best practices, bleeding edge technologies and trends. While there is a primary area of expertise and responsibilities shaped by the initial project assigned, this role is not limited to a single product area or type over time and will work in a cross functional team with skill sets in full stack software engineering, devops, infrastructure, quality assurance to architect. You will collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to own product software development, contribute and promote standards and engineering bestpractices, support operational activities such as; process automation, compliance activities, SLA upkeep requirements.

Experience, Skills And Attributes

Minimum of a Bachelor degree in software engineering (or related)
4+ experience in software testing (Test Automation )
Experience in Javascript/ Typescript is a must
In-depth understanding of any programming language
Experience in API testing (Postman/ REST/SOAP)
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Experience in AWS
Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision

Role & Responsibilities:

Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience
Works together with the software developer to enhance and improve programs
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
