We are seeking a Senior Application Development Engineer for a 12-month contract (100% Remote). The ideal candidate has 4–6+ years of experience building enterprise software solutions, designing reusable APIs and FHIR-based integrations, and improving code quality standards. This engineer will be hands-on in development, strong in Go (Golang) and modern software design patterns, skilled in data-driven architecture, and capable of delivering consistent sprint output while supporting mid-level engineers, resolving blockers, and driving high-quality, compliant payer-to-payer interoperability solutions (CMS-0057).
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics).
- 4–6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience designing systems that integrate with multiple data sources and leverage FHIR communication.
- Strong focus on maintaining data quality and code standards (including applying clean design patterns in Golang).
- Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, auditing, and error-tracking solutions.
- Proven ability to design reusable APIs and data services that support multiple business domains (e.g., claims, eligibility, clinical).
Nice to Haves
- Healthcare industry experience.
- Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) (strongly preferred).

Key Responsibilities
- Consistently delivers a significant portion of the team’s story points each sprint.
- Reviews code, mentors mid-level engineers, and removes technical blockers.
- Leads technical conversations during refinement, estimation, and planning meetings.
- Partners with the Product Owner to clarify and refine acceptance criteria.
- Actively participates in retrospectives and contributes process-improvement ideas.
- Ensures all committed sprint work is completed to a high standard.
