Software Engineer (Angular/Docker/Kafka)

We have a 6 month contract to hire for an Application Development Engineer II with 3+ years of experience in full-stack development, particularly within microservices environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with Angular for frontend development, and Docker for containerization. Kafka experience is essential for supporting event-driven architectures. The candidate should be proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, and have working knowledge of MongoDB.

A successful candidate will have a background in building scalable, maintainable applications and demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with Agile practices (SAFe preferred) and experience in healthcare or regulated industries is a plus. 100% Remote.

Our system involves both the creation of new rule sets and the maintenance of existing ones. These rule sets are powered by micro services that fetch data from MongoDB. A user-friendly interface enables users to view, edit, and manage this data efficiently.

• Responsibilities:Transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower this company to better serve their members.
• Application Software Engineer will be writing code and conducting peer reviews of other team member’s work.
• You will work with Product Owner to review requirements and translate into technical user stories.
• Design, build, test and maintain scalable and stable off the shelf application or custom-built technology solutions to meet business needs
• Contribute to the entire implementation process for new applications and enhancements to existing applications
• Meet with business partners to understand business needs
• Contribute to overall solution design
• Responsible for build and test of applications
• Conduct root cause analysis and complex performance tuning
