Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Sr. Application Development Engineer to join our Public Web team. This role is ideal for a full-stack developer with deep expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and strong backend/frontend capabilities in Node.js, TypeScript, Java, React, and NoSQL databases. The ideal candidate will thrive in Agile environments, contribute to sprint planning, and deliver robust, scalable applications that enable faster content delivery on public web portals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and deploy enterprise-grade web applications using AEM, Node.js, TypeScript, Java, React, HTML, CSS/LESS.
- Build custom AEM components, templates, workflows, dispatcher configurations, and forms.
- Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, and optimize backend services for performance and scalability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that align with business requirements.
- Monitor applications using Splunk or similar logging/monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Ensure adherence to Test-Driven Development (TDD) and best practices in code quality, performance, and security.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5–7+ years of professional experience in full-stack development.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Java, React, HTML, CSS/LESS, and TDD.
- Strong expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including custom components, templates, workflows, dispatcher configuration, and forms.
- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL datastores.
- Experience with containerized deployments.
- Proficient with Splunk or equivalent logging/monitoring tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and self-organization skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Express.js and Apache experience.
- Familiarity with AWS (CDN, S3, Route53) and DNS/redirection configuration.
- SEO, accessibility compliance (508), and analytics integration (Google, Adobe).
- Experience with Scrum, Jira, GitLab, or other SCM tools.
