Job Overview:

As a Book Designer at Zebra Learn, you will play a pivotal role in the visual representation of our publications. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with the ability to translate written narratives into visually captivating books seamlessly. This position requires a combination of artistic flair, technical proficiency, and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest design standards.

Designer Responsibilities:

  • Design and ideate visually compelling books that help in serving the right target audience and represent the essence of the content.
  • Collaborate closely with authors, editors, and cross-functional teams to ensure a singular goal and vision for each publication project.
  • Create different design iterations of editorial layouts for the publication that enhance the readability, understandability and aesthetics of the design.
  • A strong foundation in typography, color theory and visual identity of a product
  • Engage in collaborative brainstorming sessions to generate innovative design concepts.
  • Manage multiple design projects efficiently and, adhere to project timelines while ensuring high design quality set by the company.

Requirements:

  • Strong skill set in editorial design, visual design and information design.
  • Translate complex topics visually, through design research, layouts and other design aspects.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
  • Experience of a minimum of 2 years as a Graphic Designer working on editorial projects, print media projects or as a Print Production Artist.
  • Candidates must have a Bachelor of Design degree in Graphic Design, Print Design, Communication Design or any other related branches.
  • Possess a creative flair, originality, good visual aesthetic sense and research skills.
