Senior Product Designer (Series B DevOps Start-Up)

The Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll shape the user experience of complex, developer-focused tools that sit at the heart of the API and DevOps ecosystem. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to turn intricate workflows into elegant, intuitive, and efficient design solutions.

You’ll work on a platform trusted by some of the world’s largest enterprises — solving real challenges in API orchestration, deployment automation, and service governance.

What You’ll Do

•Lead design initiatives across the entire product lifecycle — from discovery to delivery

•Translate technical concepts and developer workflows into clean, accessible user experiences

•Partner with PMs and engineers to define product requirements and ensure consistent design execution

•Conduct user research, prototype testing, and usability reviews to validate design decisions

•Create design systems and scalable interface patterns for developer-facing tools

•Mentor other designers, sharing best practices and raising the bar for design quality

•Stay ahead of emerging UX patterns in DevOps, developer tools, and API platforms

What We’re Looking For

•7+ years of product design experience, ideally in developer tools, DevOps, APIs, or infrastructure software

•Strong portfolio highlighting UX and UI work for complex, technical platforms

•Experience designing for data-heavy, technical, or workflow-based interfaces

•Fluency in Figma (or similar) and experience building or maintaining design systems

•Solid understanding of information architecture, usability, and accessibility principles

•Experience collaborating with engineers and navigating technical constraints

•Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present and defend design rationale

•Comfortable working in fast-moving, agile, and cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

•Familiarity with API management, CI/CD, DevOps automation, or cloud-native platforms

•Experience designing developer experiences (DX) or command-line/terminal-based tools

•Exposure to AI-assisted or intelligent automation workflows

•Knowledge of data visualization or system observability design patterns

•Background in B2B SaaS or multi-user technical platforms
