Senior Software Engineer (Java, React)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with full stack experience to work on a project in the fintech industry.

You will be part of a distributed team developing innovative financial process automation solutions that increase productivity, reduce costs, and ensure organizations meet compliance obligations.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills, ideally with experience making decisions, being proactive, used to building software from scratch, and with good attention to detail.

What you will do:

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, reliable fullstack solutions.
• Collaborate with Product and cross-functional teams to shape, implement, and deliver technical solutions end-to-end.
• Work in an Agile environment applying Lean principles, with a strong focus on CI/CD, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
• Follow a well-defined delivery lifecycle, adhering to engineering best practices, code quality standards, and development processes.
• Own technical software design and provide accurate estimates for complex work packages and projects.
• Partner proactively with customers and stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet requirements and expectations.
• Continuously monitor solution quality and stability, identifying improvement opportunities and proposing constructive changes.

What you will bring:

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing applications using Java with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Extensive hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
• Solid experience with event-driven architecture and microservices, designing decoupled, scalable, and resilient distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with messaging and event streaming technologies such as Apache Pulsar, Apache Kafka, or other brokers.
• Experience with test automation tools, particularly Cypress.
• Experience in containers and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience in public cloud provision (preferably Azure, but knowledge of any other cloud provider is welcome!).
• Familiarity with event sourcing patterns and frameworks particularly in the context of DDD and CQRS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with frameworks such as Axon
• Fintech domain knowledge or experience working in regulated industries.
• Development experience with Angular.
