Role Description

We're looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer with strong 2D animation and motion design skills to shape the visual identity and user experience of our platform. You'll design elegant interfaces for complex workflows (AI chat, data visualization, file management, collaboration) while also creating engaging video content, explainer animations, and motion graphics for marketing and product.

This is a full-time remote position where you'll have significant ownership over design direction, visual identity, and how we communicate our product through motion and storytelling.

What You'll Create

Product UI/UX: Design intuitive interfaces for AI-powered analytics, real-time collaboration, and data visualization
Motion Design: Micro-interactions, transitions, loading states, and delightful moments throughout the product
Video Content: Explainer videos, product demos, feature announcements, and social media content
2D Animation: Animated tutorials, onboarding flows, and marketing materials
Brand & Visual Identity: Evolve our design system, illustration style, and visual language
Marketing Assets: Landing pages, graphics, and campaigns that tell our story

What You'll Do

Design and iterate on product interfaces using Figma (web and mobile)
Create high-fidelity prototypes with micro-interactions and animation
Develop 2D animations and motion graphics using After Effects, Rive, or similar tools
Produce video content: explainer videos, product demos, tutorial content, social media clips
Build and maintain our design system (components, patterns, guidelines)
Work closely with frontend engineers to implement designs pixel-perfect
Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
Create marketing assets and visual content for product launches and campaigns
Ship independently with strong ownership over your work

Requirements

Strong UI/UX design portfolio with examples of complex product work (SaaS, data tools, or technical products preferred)
Expert-level proficiency in Figma - components, auto-layout, prototyping, design systems
Solid 2D animation and motion design skills - After Effects, Rive, Lottie, or similar
Video production and editing experience - creating polished product videos and marketing content
Strong understanding of interaction design - micro-interactions, transitions, loading states, feedback
Experience designing for AI/conversational interfaces (a plus)
Visual design fundamentals - typography, color, layout, hierarchy
Excellent communication skills and ability to present and defend design decisions
Track record of shipping high-quality product experiences

Nice-to-Have

Experience with data visualization design (charts, graphs, dashboards)
Familiarity with React, Next.js, or TailwindCSS (to collaborate better with engineers)
Illustration skills or experience with 3D design (Blender, Cinema 4D, Spline)
Experience with design tools like Principle, ProtoPie, or Framer
Background in branding or visual identity design
Experience creating educational or technical content
Understanding of AI/LLM interfaces and conversational UX patterns
Experience with design for collaborative tools (Figma, Notion, Linear)
Motion graphics for web (Canvas, WebGL, Three.js)
