Job Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and creative Marketing Strategist with a deep understanding of the cultural and creative industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brand development, audience engagement, and marketing communications—especially within the arts, nonprofit, or public sector. This is a freelance, project-based role with opportunities to lead both virtual and on-site initiatives depending on project scope and location. Candidates should be fluent in English (Arabic is a strong asset) and demonstrate experience in crafting thoughtful, culturally informed strategies that resonate across diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Strategy Development:
Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the needs of cultural institutions, artist-led initiatives, or creative projects. Align messaging and campaigns with mission, identity, and audience behavior.
2) Brand Positioning & Messaging:
Craft brand narratives and positioning strategies that clearly communicate value and impact, ensuring consistency across digital and physical platforms.
3) Audience Insight & Targeting:
Conduct audience research and segmentation to guide strategy and messaging. Apply data and insights to refine campaigns, increase engagement, and expand reach within key demographics.
4) Campaign Planning & Execution:
Develop campaign frameworks with clear goals, content plans, and channel strategies. Advise on digital marketing tactics, social media strategies, and content creation.
5) Collaboration & Facilitation:
Work closely with creative teams, cultural programmers, and communication professionals to align marketing efforts with programmatic goals. Lead strategy sessions or workshops with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
6) Evaluation & Optimization:
Monitor performance metrics, analyze results, and iterate on campaigns to improve outcomes. Share findings and recommendations to support future planning.
