Senior Staff Frontend Engineer – Analytics Experience

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Staff Frontend Engineer to lead the integration and evolution of our analytics experience within our existing customer portal. This role will focus on embedding AWS QuickSight dashboards and visuals into our product in a way that feels seamless, intuitive, and aligned with our overall user experience.

Rather than building a BI platform from the ground up, your mission is to make analytics feel like a first-class, native part of the product—improving usability, navigation, performance, and workflow around how users consume insights.

Core Focus of the Role

• Integrate AWS QuickSight dashboards into our portal using modern frontend frameworks

• Improve the end-to-end user experience of analytics across the product

• Shape how users discover, interact with, and act on data

• Ensure analytics aligns with our design system, security model, and navigation patterns

Key Responsibilities

Analytics Integration & UX

• Embed AWS QuickSight dashboards and visuals into the existing portal using React and Angular.

• Implement seamless user flows around analytics (navigation, filtering, drill-downs, exports, etc.)

• Improve usability, consistency, and visual cohesion between QuickSight and the rest of the application

• Partner with product and design to refine the analytics user journey

Technical Leadership

• Define the frontend architecture for analytics integration

• Establish patterns for authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant access to dashboards

• Set standards for performance, accessibility, and maintainability

• Mentor engineers on frontend best practices and scalable UI design

Platform & Integration

• Work closely with backend teams using NestJS, Hasura/GraphQL, Keycloak to support secure embedding, SSO, and API integrations

• Ensure analytics features align with existing portal structures, routing, and permissions model

• Lead efforts to optimize load times and responsiveness of embedded dashboards

• Drive consistency between design systems and analytics UI components

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in frontend or full-stack engineering

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to take projects and task to completion with minimal oversight

• Expert-level TypeScript skills

• Strong production experience with:

  • React

  • Angular

  • Next.js

  • NestJS

• Proven experience integrating third-party platforms into large web applications

• Strong understanding of UX principles, especially for data-heavy interfaces

• Experience working in multi-tenant SaaS platforms with role-based access control

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience embedding AWS QuickSight or other BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)

• Background in analytics or data-driven products

• Familiarity with SSO, OAuth/OIDC

• Strong collaboration history with product managers and designers

• Familiarity with CI/CD
