Senior PHP Developer (E-commerce Experience)

Hiring for our Copenhagen-based SaaS client

We at Your Headway are helping a fast-growing MarTech company based in Copenhagen hire a Senior PHP Developer to strengthen their engineering team. The company builds a SaaS platform that gives online retailers real-time insight into profitability and connects directly with tools like Google Ads, Meta, and Shopify to automate profit-optimized marketing.

This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, takes ownership, and wants to work on a meaningful product that has real customer impact.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain e-commerce integrations (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, etc.)
• Develop API logic and data pipelines that sync real-time profitability data
• Own backend components that support server-side tracking and automated bidding
• Collaborate closely with other developers and teams across Europe
• Continuously improve performance, structure, and stability of the system

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years experience in backend development with PHP (Laravel or similar frameworks)
• Solid experience working with e-commerce APIs and integrations (especially Shopify)
• Skilled in REST APIs, webhooks, and scalable backend design
• Strong professional English, as you’ll collaborate with both internal developers and external clients
• A self-driven, accountable mindset – you enjoy owning your work from concept to release
• Bonus: Redis, Docker, PostgreSQL, or experience in AdTech/MarTech environments

Stack (Current + Evolving)

• PHP (Laravel), Redis, PostgreSQL, Docker
• Vue.js + TypeScript frontend (migrating from mod_php)
• Java backend services (Spring Boot) for tracking and data crunching
• Self-hosted ELK, GA4/Meta tracking integrations, and internal APIs
