Position Overview:

• We’re looking for a remote Senior/Lead UX Designer with deep design systems expertise (at least 4+ years on a systems team) to help evolve and scale a multi-platform design system used across digital products. The ideal candidate has experience designing systems for web, iOS, and Android, with strong skills in Figma component creation, documentation, tokens, variants, responsive behavior, and accessibility. Experience leveraging AI tools and workflows to enhance design system efficiency and scalability is strongly preferred.
• As a UX Designer on the Design Systems Team, you’ll define how the organization creates cohesive, accessible, and scalable experiences across digital touchpoints for both customers and employees. You’ll collaborate with designers, engineers, and product partners to evolve the company’s design system — the shared foundation that powers experiences across web, iOS, and Android. Together, you’ll enable product teams to design with greater speed, consistency, and confidence.
• This role combines systems thinking, design quality, and AI-driven workflows to build and maintain a unified system of reusable components, design tokens, documentation, and scalable processes that support consistent, high-quality experiences. Your work will ensure that every digital product — from customer-facing experiences to internal tools — reflects a cohesive, inclusive, and accessible design foundation.
• You will shape the foundation of how the organization designs at scale — ensuring every digital experience is cohesive, efficient, and inclusive. By leading the evolution of the design system, you’ll empower designers and engineers to deliver best-in-class experiences that strengthen the brand and create consistent, high-quality interactions across all digital platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Design System Strategy: Drive the ongoing evolution of the organization’s design system by identifying opportunities to improve component usability, accessibility, and scalability. Translate product team needs into actionable system enhancements that support consistent, high-quality experiences across platforms.
• Component & Pattern Creation: Design, document, and deliver high-quality, reusable Figma components and patterns that align with coded implementations. Define variants, tokens, responsive behavior, and accessibility standards to ensure cohesion between design and development.
• Governance & Maintenance: Maintain processes for versioning, contribution, and governance to ensure the design system evolves efficiently while maintaining integrity and quality across products.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineers, product managers, and designers across teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver new design system capabilities that support business objectives and user experience goals.
• Documentation & Education: Develop and maintain robust documentation, usage guidelines, and training materials. Champion adoption through education, advocacy, and support for product teams integrating the system.
• AI Exploration: Explore and apply AI-driven tools and workflows that enhance design system efficiency, documentation, accessibility, and design-to-code alignment. Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate and integrate scalable AI solutions that elevate design quality and team productivity.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging tools, technologies, and trends across the design systems community. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability within system processes and workflows.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of focused experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale design systems.
• Proven ability to scale and evolve design systems across large, multi-platform product ecosystems.
• Experience applying AI tools or workflows to improve design system processes, such as component creation, documentation, or accessibility.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in agile environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating system-level thinking, component creation, and documentation at scale.

Skills

• Expert in Figma (component libraries, tokens, variants, auto-layout, versioning, and plugins).
• Deep understanding of responsive design, web, iOS, and Android interfaces.
• Strong grasp of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Skilled in information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
• Experience leveraging AI tools and workflows to enhance design system efficiency, documentation, and accessibility.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to explain design decisions using logic and data.
• Experience partnering with developers to ensure component parity between design and code.
• Familiarity with design system governance, contribution workflows, and lifecycle management.
