Job Title: Product Designer

Location:Remote

Start Date: Immediate

Job Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)

Job Summary

As a Product Designer at Aus Home Basics, you will be instrumental in conceptualising and developing products that resonate with our brand's ethos of simplicity, sustainability, and style. You will collaborate closely with the owners to bring innovative ideas to life, ensuring each product enhances the everyday lives of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new products that align with our brand's minimalist and sustainable values.
  • Conduct user research to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Create sketches, prototypes, and detailed specifications for new products.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure product feasibility and quality.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Maintain and evolve our design language and standards.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in product design, preferably in home goods or lifestyle products.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A portfolio showcasing a range of product design projects.
