Senior Web Designer (Contractor – 3 Months)

We’re now looking for a Senior Web Designer to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting client projects, collaborating closely with our in-house design team. Depending on performance and project pipeline, there’s potential for an extension beyond the initial contract.

What’s the role?

As a Senior Web Designer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality website designs for a range of clients. You’ll be working independently on some projects while also collaborating with our in-house design team to maintain Yellowball’s high standards for web design and digital experiences.

Beyond web design, you may also contribute to designing digital assets, proposals, and pitch decks, ensuring all outputs align with Yellowball’s brand identity.

This role is perfect for a senior designer with agency experience who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is confident in crafting exceptional digital experiences.

What will you be doing?

• Leading web design projects – From UX/UI concepts to final designs, ensuring sites are visually stunning, functional, and aligned with client objectives.
• Collaborating with our team – Supporting other designers, offering creative input, and jumping in where needed across multiple projects.
• Designing digital assets – Including graphics for websites, marketing materials, and presentation decks.
• Ensuring brand consistency – Maintaining high design standards across all deliverables.
• Problem-solving in real-time – Adapting quickly to project needs and helping to refine processes for efficiency.
• Communicating design decisions – Clearly presenting ideas to internal teams and clients, ensuring alignment at every stage.

What we’re looking for:

• A highly skilled designer – Extensive experience in designing high-end websites, preferably within an agency setting.
• Expert in Figma & Adobe Suite – Strong proficiency in UX/UI tools, with the ability to create polished, responsive designs an.
• Detail-obsessed – You care about every pixel, ensuring seamless layouts and engaging user experiences.
• Collaborative & adaptable – Comfortable working across multiple projects, supporting teammates, and contributing ideas.
• Strong understanding of web development – You don’t need to code, but you understand design best practices for WordPress and modern web frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills – Confident in presenting work and explaining design decisions to clients and colleagues.
• A proactive problem solver – Able to take ownership of projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.

Contract Details:

• Fixed 3-month full time contract with the potential to extend.
• Remote or hybrid working – Must be based in the UK.
• £250 day rate, based on experience.
