Software Engineer

Recognised as one of LinkedIn Top Start-Up's and significant achievements in the fintech space, they're seeking a passionate and experienced Full-Stack Engineer to contribute to their growing team. They are considering both a Mid Level or Senior for this position.

As a key member of the engineering team, you'll be instrumental in building and scaling their cutting-edge financial platform. You'll be responsible for developing both the frontend using React, Typescript, and Next.js, and the backend using Node.js, aswell as the cloud platform built on AWS. You'll collaborate with a talented team of 18 to ensure the platform can seamlessly handle a growing user base.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Participating in the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment of both frontend and backend components.
• Developing and optimising backend services using Node.
• Building and enhancing responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces with React, Typescript, and Next.js.
• Ensuring the scalability, performance, and security of the platform.
• Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver impactful features.
• Participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and contributing innovative ideas to our technical direction.

Skills:

• 3+ years of commercial experience in full-stack development, with a strong focus on React and Node.js.
• Solid experience with Typescript, and Next.js.
• Experience working with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and understanding data modeling principles.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with different styling tools and UI/UX best practices.
• A passion for contributing ideas and finding effective solutions to technical challenges.
