Xometry is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Design Systems team. In this role, you’ll work under a Design Systems Lead to help design, maintain, and evolve Xometry’s design system, enabling product teams to build consistent, accessible, and high-quality experiences across the platform.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on component design, documentation, and close collaboration with product designers and engineers. You’ll contribute directly to the system while supporting its adoption and effective use across teams.

What You’ll Do

Design and refine UI components, patterns, and foundations (color, typography, spacing, layout) within Xometry’s design system
Translate product and platform needs into scalable, reusable system solutions
Partner closely with Design Systems Engineering to ensure components are feasible, well-documented, and production-ready
Support product designers by helping them use the system effectively and consistently
Create and maintain clear documentation, usage guidelines, and examples in Figma and supporting tools
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from the Design Systems Lead
Help identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement within the system

What You’ll Bring

5+ years of product design experience, with some experience contributing to or working within a design system
Strong visual, interaction, and UI design skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience designing component-based systems in Figma
Ability to think in terms of patterns, scalability, and reuse
Comfort collaborating closely with engineers and incorporating technical constraints
Clear communication skills and openness to feedback
