We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the modern data infrastructure that supports our analytics, data science, and product teams. In this role, you will develop scalable data pipelines and manage large, complex datasets using Azure Databricks and the broader Azure data ecosystem. Working closely with engineers, analysts, and data scientists, you will ensure that data is reliable, accessible, and optimized for insight and decision-making across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and scale our data platform and contribute to the next generation of data-driven .

You will be:

• collaborating closely with business stakeholders to understand mortgage processes, decision rules, and exceptions,
• translating complex business rules and domain knowledge into AI-driven or agent-based solutions,
• design and refine decision logic, heuristics, and data-driven recommendations,
• working with historical data to improve decision quality and consistency,
• cooperating with data engineering teams on data availability, quality, and integration,
• contributing to the overall design of an agentic or AI-assisted solution used by mortgage analysts.

Your profile:

• proven experience as a Data Scientist,
• experience with GCP,
• solid understanding of applied AI, machine learning concepts, and decision systems,
• experience with agent-based or AI-assisted decisioning systems,
• analytical mindset combined with excellent communication skills,
• upper-intermediate English (B2+),
• background in financial services, banking, or mortgage processes is a plus.

Important: Onboarding in Amsterdam, then 2-3 days/month work from the client office in Amsterdam.

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Salary: 15 000 – 22 400 PLN gross
