Your Role

As a Senior Java/C++ Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing high-performance, scalable backend systems for IoT security. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, secure, and efficient solutions.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and optimise backend services for a large-scale cybersecurity platform.
Implement and maintain high-performance microservices in Java and C++.
Work with real-time data processing and distributed computing to enhance system efficiency.
Experience in creating design documents – High Level & Low Level Design Documents
Configure and manage Ubuntu operating systems, including bare metal server setup and troubleshooting.
Support technical sales and solution engineering teams in pre-sales and product deployment.
Collaborate with DevOps and frontend teams to optimise performance and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
Experience with cloud providers, especially GCP.

What You Bring

5+ years of experience in backend development using Java and C++.
Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.
Expertise in high-performance computing, multithreading, and low-latency systems.
Hands-on experience with Ubuntu OS configuration and management.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Solr, MongoDB, etc.).
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with modern software engineering practices such as CI/CD, Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and test-driven development.
Strong skills in networking (TCP/IP) and cybersecurity concepts are a plus.
Ability to create High-Level and Low-Level Design Documents.
Fluent German language skills are mandatory.
