Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Data and Analytics Specialist at WorkSocial. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of proven experience in advanced data analysis, process automation, and business intelligence development. This role will focus on delivering high-value analytics solutions across multiple business verticals, with a strong emphasis on finance-related processes.

Core responsibilities include developing and maintaining advanced Excel models, creating and optimizing VBA macros, leveraging Power Query and Alteryx for ETL workflows, building dynamic dashboards in Power BI, and integrating data solutions with other platforms. The role also involves designing and developing COM add-ins to enhance productivity and analytics capabilities. Experience with Photon or similar automation technologies is essential.

The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making. Familiarity with US income tax processes and financial analytics is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in data analytics, process automation, and business intelligence.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, complex formulas, and modeling).

• Strong expertise in VBA development and Power Query for automation and data transformation.

• Proven experience with Alteryx for ETL and data blending.

• Hands-on experience with Photon or equivalent process automation tools.

• Advanced skills in Power BI dashboard design, data modeling, and DAX.

• Experience developing COM add-ins to extend productivity tools.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and deliver results in a remote environment.

• Experience working in finance and related verticals; knowledge of US income tax processes is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, or related field.
