Senior Software Engineer

Our client is a US based fintech start-up looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This is a fully remote opportunity where you'll help build and scale financial software products using React, Node.js, and Python.

You’ll be working on a cross-functional team, contributing across the stack, from modern frontend interfaces to robust backend services, helping bring new features to life and improving existing systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and maintain full stack web applications using React, Node.js, and Python
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to deliver quality features quickly and efficiently
• Build and integrate APIs (REST or GraphQL)
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge-sharing
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and edge cases
• Ensure your work is responsive, secure, and production-ready

What We’re Looking For:

• 6+ years of full stack development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with React (functional components, hooks, state management)
• Solid backend experience with Node.js (Express or similar frameworks)
• Proficiency in Python for backend services (Django, Flask, or FastAPI a plus)
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Comfortable working with APIs and modern DevOps workflows (Git, CI/CD)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Familiarity with TypeScript
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Understanding of application security best practices
