Senior Fullstack Developer (Applied AI)

At Workana, we're looking for a Senior Developer first and foremost — someone who loves building things with code, ships clean features fast, and thrives in production environments.

We're not looking for a ‘prompt engineer' or a data scientist. This isn't an academic research role, and it's not about leading an AI team. It's about being a developer who loves to code, gets excited about using AI to improve real products, and knows how to turn those ideas into production-ready features.

If you love testing a new API, wiring it into a feature, and seeing it run live, this role is for you.

Requirements

What you'll do

• Build and maintain user-facing features in our stack (Node.js, React.js, PHP legacy migration)
• Explore, test, and integrate AI tools (OpenAI, Claude, Hugging Face, embeddings, agents, etc.) into real product features
• Deliver fast MVPs and prototypes to validate ideas and bring value quickly
• Stay curious: experiment, iterate, and translate early concepts into production-ready code

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years as a fullstack or backend-heavy developer
• Strong production experience with Node.js (Express/Nest) and ideally React.js
• Ability to work with PHP legacy code during migration
• Hands-on with Docker, REST APIs, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
• 2+ years applying AI tools in real projects (not just experiments or theory)
• Experience delivering MVPs quickly and iterating based on feedback
• A maker mindset: you balance curiosity and exploration with execution and delivery.
