About the Company
Our client, Pink Lake Travel and Tours, is a tour operator offering tours from Perth up to Broome or down to Esperance. They arrange other tours, accommodation & flights for clients as well.
They are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to support website management, SEO, and social media marketing. The ideal candidate will have experience driving sales through digital channels, managing content across Facebook and Instagram, and working with website builders like Wix. You will also assist in developing marketing campaigns, optimizing site performance, and advising on content improvements.
This role is ideal for a proactive, creative marketer who understands how to attract traffic, boost engagement, and convert leads within the travel and tourism industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Redesign, manage and update the client’s Wix-based website, ensuring user-friendly navigation, up-to-date content, and visual consistency.
- Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and increase organic traffic.
- Create and schedule engaging content for Facebook and Instagram to build brand presence and generate leads.
- Plan and implement marketing campaigns to drive sales and bookings, including seasonal promotions and tour spotlights.
- Collaborate with the client to optimize website structure and content for local and international audiences.
- Analyze performance metrics and report on engagement, reach, and lead conversions.
- Support the development of a second website tailored to an international market.
- Suggest and implement improvements, such as subdomains, testimonial sections, and enhanced contact features.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, SEO, or content management.
- Strong hands-on experience with Wix (or similar platforms like WordPress or Squarespace).
- Proven ability to plan and execute social media campaigns, especially on Meta platforms.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, tools, and performance analysis.
- Ability to create or work with visual content that aligns with brand messaging.
- Understanding of marketing funnels and strategies to drive bookings and sales.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Comfortable working remotely and independently, with flexible availability to accommodate time zone differences (client in Australia).
Nice to Have
- Experience in the travel/tourism industry.
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, etc.).
- Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights).
- Ability to recommend and execute strategic content and layout enhancements for websites.
- Past experience launching or managing multiple brand websites.
