We are easyJet – a FTSE listed, £multi-billion low-cost airline that serves tens of millions of customers every single year. If you’re reading this, you have probably already been an easyJet customer, and you’ll know that there is no more iconic (or Orange!) travel brand in Europe.

We fly more than 1,207 routes, connecting 38 countries across Europe, and employ more than 18,000 colleagues. We’re on a mission to make low-cost travel easy – and whatever your role here, you’ll connect millions of people to what they love using Europe’s best airline network, great value fares, and friendly service.

What makes us easyJet? Our Promise Behaviours – we are Safe, Bold, Welcoming and Challenging. Four Behaviours. One Spirit. One easyJet.

Read on if you

  • Have significant experience leading end-to-end Data Science projects within operational, logistics, manufacturing or similarly complex environments
  • Enjoy solving business problems using predictive analytics, machine learning and data-driven decision making
  • Can work closely with stakeholders, product teams and engineers to turn complex analysis into practical business outcomes

The Team

Our Data Science team sits at the centre of driving smarter, faster and more informed decision making across the business. Working in a collaborative product environment, we partner with stakeholders across operations and technology to solve complex challenges, improve performance and enhance customer experience. This is a team that values curiosity, innovation and real-world impact – combining advanced analytics with commercial thinking to deliver solutions that matter.

The Role

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll lead high-impact data science initiatives from concept through to deployment and monitoring, helping solve some of our most important business challenges.

You’ll work across cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Software Engineers and business stakeholders, building scalable analytical solutions that improve operational performance and customer outcomes.

This is a hands-on senior role suited to someone who can independently own projects, influence decision making and balance technical depth with strong stakeholder engagement.

You’ll also:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Data Science projects, from problem definition and modelling through to production implementation and monitoring
  • Analyse complex datasets from multiple sources to answer strategic business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop, validate and deploy predictive, simulation and optimisation models to support business performance
  • Translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a product-led environment to support operational and technology transformation initiatives
  • Mentor junior Data Scientists, providing coaching, technical guidance and knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to best practice development, helping strengthen Data Science capability across the organisation
  • Stay up to date with emerging tools, technologies and methodologies, evaluating opportunities for business application

Requirements of the Role

What we’re looking for

  • Degree or MSc in a scientific, engineering or analytical discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Physical Science
  • Significant commercial experience in Data Science roles, with demonstrable progression in responsibility
  • Strong technical knowledge across key areas of the Data Science toolkit including programming, machine learning, data preparation, visualisation and predictive analytics
  • Exposure to optimisation, simulation or advanced analytical techniques
  • Experience delivering Data Science solutions within operational, logistics, manufacturing, process-driven or similarly complex business environments
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects, prioritise competing demands and deliver results in fast-paced environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working alongside Product Owners, Software Engineers and cross-functional teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to solving business problems
  • Passion for mentoring, collaboration and building analytical capability within teams

What you’ll get in return

  • Up to 20% maximum bonus
  • Private Medical Insurance (PMI)
  • 7% pension contributions
  • Excellent staff travel benefits
  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Annual credit towards an easyJet holiday
  • Various flexible benefits and extras
