Backend Developer (Next.js / Python / AI Focus)

We’re looking for a Backend Developer to join us to work alongside a team of developers, product owners, quality assurance analyst, and the founders.

What You’ll Do

●      Focus on development across the Next.js and Node.js backend stack

●      Implement core APIs and services using Next.js API routes and integrate with our Python AI microservices

●      Build and maintain PostgreSQL schema and application logic via Prisma ORM

●      Develop and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI

●      Integrate LLMs (e.g. OpenAI) to power core product features, including prompt design and context handling

●      Design and implement background job workflows using Celery + Redis

●      Ensure secure and efficient communication between frontend (Next.js) and backend services

●      Collaborate with the full-stack lead and product owner to define architecture and priorities

What We’re Looking For

●      Proficiency with React and Next.js, including component-based architecture and server-side rendering (SSR)

●      Strong Node.js skills for building and maintaining API routes within a full-stack framework

●      Experience styling UIs with Tailwind CSS and using libraries like ShadCN/UI

●      Experience building and managing PostgreSQL schemas using Prisma ORM

●      Advanced Python experience, especially with FastAPI in production environments

●      Deep knowledge of LLM/AI integration, including prompt engineering, API interaction, and embedding workflows

●      Experience with Celery + Redis for background processing, task scheduling, and job retries

●      Strong understanding of PostgreSQL schema design, indexing, and migrations

Familiarity with API security, service orchestration, and asynchronous communication patterns
