About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the M&S Dealer Experience Platforms team. This is a remote position, offering an exciting opportunity to work on building scalable and resilient solutions in Java and cloud-native environments. You will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and implementing dealer-facing development goals and working as a technical lead, mentoring junior engineers. This position involves building APIs for dealer and consumer-facing flows, both web and mobile, ensuring that solutions are optimized, resilient, secure, and well-documented.

Responsibilities

• Write APIs for dealer and consumer-facing flows (web and mobile).
• Design and deliver optimized, resilient, and secure solutions.
• Test efficient front-end and server-side solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as a technical lead.
• Quickly grasp concepts and implement them effectively.
• Communicate ideas effectively and listen to others.
• Solve technical problems and mediate competing visions from partners and teammates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building and maintaining complex enterprise web applications in a microservice architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, messaging frameworks, Docker, Elasticsearch, relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), NoSQL solutions (Azure Cosmos DB or Cassandra), and event-driven architecture solutions (e.g., Kafka).
• Experience in designing, developing, and migrating applications to modern cloud-based architectures using GCP.
• Knowledge of Continuous Delivery process and tools (e.g., GitHub, Ready API, Terraform, Tekton).
• Proficient in adopting a "test-as-you-code" strategy and developing unit and API tests.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GCP cloud technologies, Redis, Istio, and multi-tenant architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud-native tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: This position is graded under salary grade GSR 7-8.
