About The Role

The Senior Graphic Designer at Bishop-McCann will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and executing visual identities and experience journeys for a variety of events, incentives, and new business initiatives. This position requires a creative professional with a strong craft, strategic thinking, and the confidence to own projects from inception to final production. The Senior Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Creative Directors, Motion Designers, Producers, and Account Teams to develop innovative concepts that resonate across multiple touchpoints such as digital, print, environmental, and experiential elements. The role demands a keen understanding of the attendee journey, technical production considerations, and the ability to translate creative ideas into compelling visual stories that elevate the client’s brand and event experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional design experience, ideally within events, experiential marketing, hospitality, entertainment, or creative agencies
• A diverse portfolio demonstrating concept development, craft, and range across branding, presentations, print, digital, environmental, and event design
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Advanced PowerPoint skills for creating sophisticated client and executive presentations
• Fluency with generative AI tools such as Midjourney, ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, or similar platforms, with a strategic perspective on AI integration
• Strong understanding of print production, large-format graphics, and technical production standards
• Experience collaborating with motion, video, spatial design, and other creative disciplines
• Proven ability to direct creative teams and present to clients and senior stakeholders
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Willingness to travel for client programs, site visits, and onsite events

Responsibilities

• Develop original creative concepts, visual identities, and experience journeys tailored for events, incentives, and new business opportunities
• Create mood boards, concept decks, and visual storytelling materials to communicate ideas effectively to clients
• Draw inspiration from various cultural and industry sources including design, fashion, entertainment, architecture, and technology
• Own design workstreams from concept through final production, ensuring consistency and high-quality output
• Translate creative concepts into diverse assets across pre-event communications, onsite environments, signage, screens, wayfinding, and digital experiences
• Design environmental graphics, signage, and branding plans, collaborating with vendors and fabrication teams
• Partner with motion designers, editors, and production teams to ensure visual and spatial coherence
• Art direct and mentor junior designers and freelance talent to uphold creative standards
• Understand physical production constraints and design with technical feasibility in mind
• Build compelling client presentations and pitch decks to communicate design ideas effectively
• Present creative work directly to clients, incorporating feedback and translating needs into actionable solutions
• Collaborate across departments including Creative, Production, Planning, and Account teams from project discovery through execution
• Explore and incorporate emerging technologies and AI tools into the creative process to enhance innovation and efficiency
• Maintain and elevate BMC’s design standards, pushing for excellence in every deliverable
