About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our Storefront team. This role will collaborate across multiple customer journey touchpoints, including cart, checkout, post-purchase (returns & exchanges), and accounts, to analyze and optimize the user experience. As a key member of a high-velocity, real-time storefront environment, you will work with millions of customer sessions, real-time inventory, and pricing signals, requiring both rigor and speed in your analyses. Your primary responsibilities will include building statistical models such as causal inference and incrementality testing, designing and executing disciplined experimentation programs, and partnering directly with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities. The ideal candidate is deeply technical, hands-on with Python and SQL daily, and fluent in statistical methodologies that underpin trustworthy analysis. You will also leverage the latest AI tools to accelerate insights, automate anomaly detection, and enhance analysis throughput. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Math, or a related quantitative field
• 5+ years of experience as a data scientist or quantitative analyst, preferably within consumer-facing products, e-commerce, or marketplace environments
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to write, debug, and maintain pipelines independently
• Strong foundation in statistical analysis, experiment design, hypothesis testing, regression, and causal inference methods (such as diff-in-diff, propensity matching, incrementality testing)
• Experience in end-to-end experiment management—from hypothesis formulation to analysis and decision-making
• Familiarity with BI and visualization tools like Looker, Mixpanel, and the ability to develop self-serve dashboards for stakeholders
• Active use of AI and LLM-assisted tools in analytical workflows, with a keen interest in staying current on emerging AI capabilities
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations
• Demonstrated grit, ownership, and ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with limited process

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive analytics and data science support across cart, checkout, post-purchase (returns & exchanges), and accounts, from problem framing to implementation of recommendations
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments such as A/B tests, holdouts, and other controlled studies, ensuring appropriate sizing, guardrails, and post-test analysis
• Apply advanced causal inference techniques (e.g., diff-in-diff, synthetic control, incrementality testing) especially when randomized testing is not feasible, to evaluate policies and product changes
• Conduct funnel diagnostics and root-cause analysis to identify friction points and opportunities for optimization in cart abandonment, checkout drop-off, returns process, and account engagement, segmented by device, traffic source, geo, and cohort
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to prioritize hypotheses, scope opportunities, and translate insights into product requirements and trade-offs
• Develop and maintain source-of-truth metrics and self-serve dashboards for key KPIs, proactively flag regressions and anomalies
• Write and maintain SQL and Python pipelines to support analyses, partnering with Data Engineering for event instrumentation, data validation, and quality assurance
• Champion AI/LLM-powered workflows to enhance analysis speed and automate insights, including anomaly detection and narrative generation
• Effectively communicate findings through clear, evidence-based storytelling to stakeholders and leadership, facilitating data-driven decision-making
• Document learnings, run post-mortems, and contribute to continuous improvement of analytical processes
