About The Role

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software or technology leadership roles, with end-to-end responsibility over the software development lifecycle
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (advanced degrees preferred)
• Expertise in one or more prominent programming languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala
• Strong understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS platforms with practical experience in public cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Proven ability to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, space, and time
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing decision-making processes at various organizational levels
• Customer-centric approach to technical decision-making
• Preferred skills include experience in Developer Experience or Developer Productivity, proficiency in Java or Node.js, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with multiple programming languages and cloud services

Responsibilities

• Regularly unblock challenges encountered throughout the software development cycle, from technical design to deployment
• Create robust solutions utilized by multiple teams and products; develop strategic plans for large-scale projects
• Address complex architecture challenges, ensuring adherence to architectural standards in new projects
• Lead code reviews, ensure comprehensive documentation, and resolve high-risk bugs efficiently
• Set standards for meaningful code reviews and collaborate across engineering teams on company-wide initiatives
• Transfer technical knowledge across languages and platforms to foster team growth and expertise
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to enhance their technical skills and career development
• Evaluate and implement best practices for software development, performance optimization, and reliability
