Calling All Marketers (and Healthy Food Lovers!)

Wholesome Yum, an influencer-led healthy recipe website, meal planning app, and food brand, is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to own and scale our lifecycle marketing within a fast-paced, content-driven ecommerce business. Rooted in a highly personal voice and deep audience connection, this role will own our email marketing strategy and be a major contributor to broader digital marketing and content initiatives that engage, nurture, and convert our audience.

As a key member of a highly collaborative marketing team, you’ll take full ownership of the email marketing engine – from list growth and segmentation to automation, testing, and performance analysis. You’ll also play a critical role in bringing campaigns to life, supporting product launches and promotions, designing landing pages and graphics, crafting compelling, conversational copy, and translating data into actionable insights that drive continuous improvement in results.

About the Position

Your primary focus is executing and optimizing marketing campaigns; you’ll also contribute to projects that support product launches, retail promotions, and community growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Email Marketing: Grow lists, run A/B tests, audit and build automations, manage audience segmentation, create drip sequences, and own end-to-end email production.
  • Campaign Execution: Design, build, and maintain landing pages, opt‑ins, coupons; refresh creative; monitor performance and optimize strategy in real-time.
  • Reporting & Insight Generation: Create and own dashboards monitoring campaign impact and performance against KPIs. Data is analyzed proactively, with clear recommendations that inform marketing strategy and next steps.
  • Copywriting & Production: Write and edit personal and sales copy and create assets for campaigns, emails, and social (partnering with the social media manager).
  • Digital Product Creation: Ideate, design, and develop ebooks, printables, and other digital products with the marketing team.

Occasional Responsibilities

  • Brand & retail support: Execute promotional plans for Wholesome Yum Foods across ecommerce (WooCommerce, Amazon) and retail channels.
  • Brand outreach: Identify potential sponsors or brand partners and build outreach systems.
  • Giveaway coordination: Select winners, handle outreach, and manage fulfillment.
  • Other projects based on experience, interest, and company needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITERIA

Required:

  • Content Marketing: 4-6 years of hands-on experience in content or digital product marketing, with a strong understanding of how to create and promote high-performing content that drives traffic, engagement, and audience growth.
  • Email & Lifecycle Marketing: Proven experience developing and executing email strategies, including audience segmentation, automations, drip campaigns, and A/B tests to drive engagement and conversions.
  • Digital Products & Conversion Optimization: Experience building and optimizing digital product funnels, including lead magnets, landing pages, offers, carts, order bumps, and upsells, with a focus on improving conversion rates and revenue.
  • Copywriting & Editing: Strong, conversational writing skills with impeccable grammar, aligned with the Wholesome Yum voice and brand style. Experience crafting persuasive copy that sparks engagement, turning reader feedback into content ideas to increase loyalty and drive conversions.
  • Data & Analysis: Experience building and using analytics dashboards (email, web, social) to draw conclusions, set benchmarks, and recommend data‑backed experiments.
  • Visual Design Fundamentals: Proficient in Canva (or similar) to create clean, on-brand graphics, email assets, and digital products. Strong eye for layout and visual hierarchy, with the ability to design polished, high-converting landing pages without relying on a graphic designer.
  • Mindset & Communication: Independent, proactive, detail‑oriented, and eager to deliver results. Comfortable with constructive feedback, fast pivots, and asynchronous remote collaboration via Microsoft Teams/email/workflow tools.
  • Digital & Ecommerce Tools: Fluent in our core tools or similar, including ClickUp, Teams, Airtable, Kit, Google Workspace, and Canva. Working knowledge of WordPress (Gutenberg), plus comfort tinkering with new software and features as needed.
  • Culinary Familiarity: Familiar with home cooking, recipe content, and healthy eating to make decisions around messaging and content.
  • Remote Readiness: Organized and able to self‑manage workload; Available to consistently meet Monday–Friday 10 AM–3 PM CT core hours with reliable hardware and high‑speed internet.

Nice to Have:

  • Retail Marketing Execution: Demonstrated success running go‑to‑market or promotional campaigns for consumer‑packaged or food brands, including retail and ecommerce platforms (WooCommerce or Shopify, Amazon, physical retail, etc.)
  • Funnel & Page Builders: Elementor, ThriveCart (or similar)
  • AI Familiarity: Hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline processes and in marketing execution.
  • Brand Familiarity: Maya’s recipes on WholesomeYum.com, the Wholesome Yum app, and Wholesome Yum Foods products.
  • Education: Marketing‑related degree.

HOURS

  • Full‑time: 40 hrs/week
  • Core hours: Monday–Friday, 10 AM–3 PM Central Time; remaining hours are flexible.

COMPENSATION
