Brand & Communications Designer

We are seeking a creative Brand & Communications Designer to join our team at What if Design. The ideal designer will be obsessed with branding, including graphics, visuals, websites and communication design for brands. This role provides you with massive ownership over different domains.

Overview

📍 Location - Remote

🗓️ Engagement - Full-time

⏱️ Commitment - 5 days/week

🛠️ Software Expertise Requirement - Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

What You'll Do:

• Comprehensively execute brand deliverables such as brand identity, logo marks/logotypes, iconography, color palettes, patterns, packaging, marketing communication design, websites and social templates
• Transform customer problems into effective solutions, leveraging your knowledge of design principles and tools
• Work on various design projects, from brainstorming and initial concepts through final production
• Consult with leadership, as well as other team members, to achieve client and studio objectives.
• Work closely with fellow creatives and developers to develop straightforward design approaches to complex technical problems and communicate them effectively to the stakeholders.
• Maintain the highest standards for all deliverables produced and Build robust visual libraries within Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
• Give and solicit feedback from other team members to continually raise the bar for quality

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience
• A strong sense of ownership
• Collaborative spirit and humility
• Must be able to show a portfolio of work that reflects creative thinking with a broad range of examples
• Ability to receive direction as well as take initiative and able to manage multiple parallel-path projects
• Strong knowledge of visual design, branding and marketing communications
• Willingness to research, understand scientific concepts, and visualize them simplistically
• Excellent at creating and maintaining cross-functional working relationships
• Exceptional visual, storytelling and oral communication skills
• Confidence and talent when it comes to your ability to communicate your work to team members and stakeholders at all levels
• Mastery of modern design tools while understanding all the trends.
• Passion for software, design, interaction, and technology and willingness to learn
• Understanding of timelines and the motivation to meet all established schedules, timeframes, and deliverables set to be delivered to clients
