Senior Data Analyst, Customer Data Platform (CDP)
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for bringing our vision of consolidated customer data to life. This role covers the management and strategy of our customer data platform, ensuring that we can extract the most value out of our data.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define the strategic direction of the CDP
Be the subject matter expert for the CDP and understand our data infrastructure
Lead the implementation effort and play a key role in the Customer Data Platform
Become well versed on our data infrastructure to help provide realistic expectations of the level of effort for each integration and understand the value of different data sources
Work with business partners to help improve the flow of data between the CDP and source with the goal of getting as close to real-time as possible
Build out and document the framework for data activation & segment measurement for marketing channels
Build the infrastructure to enable data activation through several different destination systems
Build segments based on the profile data to be utilized in activation
Design and build data infrastructure to measure marketing campaign segment performance
Document the activation workflow to help with extensibility and process analysis moving forward
Manage integrations with other systems and define the data collection requirements
Lead the efforts to integrate multiple different data sources to create the data lake and customer profile
Lead requirement gathering for each individual data source to ensure that we are providing our business partners the requirements that they need and make sure we are getting the specific data points that we require
Ensure that data is within proper privacy/legal compliance
Assist with building the data governance policies within the system that ensures that we're using the data properly. This includes creating proper labels to prevent data from being utilized in marketing efforts that are not inline with our privacy and legal policies.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
6+ years of experience in a CDP, data warehousing or related data platform
Strong expertise in data management including data strategy, data quality, and data governance
Experience in data modeling and architecture. Excellent SQL skills
Experience building segments
Experience with ETL processes
Strong understanding of Marketing Technology tools (Email/Marketing automation system, Personalization tools, Analytics tools, tag management systems)
Prefer:
Strong understanding of Adobe Experience Cloud tools (Adobe Audience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Experience platform, Adobe Launch)
Experience with Oracle SQL
