West Monroe is seeking a Principal Software Engineer/Architect to join the Technology and Experience Practice in Costa Rica. You will partner with our clients and other West Monroe team members on transformational projects. On client projects, you will work collaboratively to gather technical requirements, define platform and integration design, and perform the configuration/development of the solution in a team environment.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience required
Consulting firm/industry experience preferred
7-11+ years of experience in full-stack software development with preferred skills in:
Ruby on Rails, .NET, C#, Java, Python, etc
Entity Framework and various APIs
JavaScript, React.js, Angular.js, HTML/CSS
SQL Server, Azure, AWS, open source tools
Mobile development experience
GenAi experience
Software engineering workflow automation with AI
Experience designing and building web application user interfaces with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
Experience with a commonly used back-end framework (e.g. Rails, Spring, .NET) and a commonly used front-end framework (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization tools (e.g., Docker), and/or orchestration systems (e.g., k8s)
Deep understanding of software engineering concepts (requirements, development methodologies, testing and documentation) and an understanding of how technology applies to business concepts
Well-versed in object-oriented design and development concepts
Comfortable working within a fast-paced, collaborative, Agile/Scrum project environment
Desire and ability to work towards leading a team of ~2-4+ software engineering consultants
Excellent leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
Potential for international travel as an on needed basis
