Staff Engineer

Work Experience - 15-20 yrs

What the job involves

• Build full-stack applications (both front-end and back-end).
• Ensure the software is high quality, maintainable, and well-tested.
• Work on real-world healthcare problems, meaning the work has real impact.
• Collaborate closely with Design and Product teams.
• Work in a supportive and empathetic environment—team culture is important.

Experience must be in:

• Agile or SaaS environments
• Professional software development (not just academic or hobby projects)

Technical skill requirements

Back-end (Functional Programming preferred)

Experience with:

• Clojure
• Haskell
• OR Java/Python as long as you use functional programming principles

Front-end

Experience with:

• ReactJS
• TypeScript

You may have either back-end expertise, front-end expertise, or both.

Infrastructure & Tools

Should be comfortable with:

• AWS (cloud)
• Docker (containerization)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Git, Jira
• Practices like pair programming, testing, and code reviews

Domain preference

Not mandatory, but good to have:

• Experience in clinical trials
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance (US healthcare data confidentiality)

Work location

• Remote-only role, but candidates must live in Pune.
