Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and versatile Remote Fullstack Software Engineer to contribute to the development and maintenance of our web applications, APIs, and other software solutions. You will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. This role requires a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications and APIs using a variety of technologies.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and implement user interfaces and user experiences that are intuitive, responsive, and accessible.
Build and maintain efficient and reliable back-end systems and databases.
Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack.
Deploy and maintain applications on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Contribute to the improvement of our development processes and tools.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Ensure the security and performance of our applications.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Eligibility to Work: Must possess a valid work permit in the United States or be a U.S. citizen. We are unable to sponsor visas for this position.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional fullstack software development experience.
Front-End Proficiency:
Strong understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API, Vuex).
Familiarity with front-end build tools and workflows (e.g., Webpack, Babel, npm, yarn).
Back-End Proficiency:
Experience with at least one popular back-end programming language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, C#, Go).
Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs.
Knowledge of database design and management (both relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
Experience with ORM/ODM libraries (e.g., Sequelize, Django ORM, Hibernate, Mongoose).
Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
DevOps Practices: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with relevant tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Testing: Experience with writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Version Control: Proficient with Git and collaborative workflows (e.g., Gitflow).
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex issues.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a remote team.
Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a remote environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in the healthcare industry or with healthcare-related applications.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with serverless architectures.
Familiarity with security best practices for web applications.
Experience with performance optimization techniques.
