About The Team

We are a newly incubated International Search Team at IDC, focused on building and enhancing the Search Indexing Platform and Search Retrieval systems. Our mission is to create scalable, high-performance search solutions that power exceptional user experiences across Walmart’s international markets.

What You’ll Do

Design, build, and maintain scalable search and backend systems.

Develop, deploy, maintain and manage Search Ingestion platform, integerate ML models, help in running A/B test, improve quality of search reetults, in collaboration with all stack holder teams.

Optimize system performance for search features, algorithms and indexing platform.

Ensure seamless integration between APIs, services, and platform

Lead and contribute to system architecture, code reviews, and best practices.

What You’ll bring

Strong backend engineering and software development experience.

Hands-on expertise with Distributed computing systems, Data platform and ML platform, dev ops, and services.

Experience working with data science teams on model integration.

Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, or similar) and cloud services.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 1 year’s experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
