Position Summary
The Client Services Manager serves as a strategic liaison and relationship manager, ensuring our fractional marketing services seamlessly integrate with our clients' operations. This role is essential in delivering the comprehensive marketing leadership experience and efforts that our clients expect from our company.
You'll be responsible for proactively managing existing client relationships, leading regular client meetings, coordinating cross-functional deliverables within our team, directly executing related client tasks, and ensuring our diverse team of marketing specialists works cohesively to drive client revenue growth. This position requires someone who is curious and determined, supportive yet independent, marketing-savvy and human-centric, who can think strategically while executing tactically—embodying our philosophy of being both thinkers and doers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Client Partnership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, acting as their dedicated fractional marketing team liaison
- Facilitate regular strategic meetings and communications between clients and our team members
- Attend regular internal team meetings for strategy, status updates, and idea generation.
- Monitor and report on overall strategy performance, task execution, vendor relations, and project updates
- Identify opportunities for client revenue growth and operational efficiency improvements
- Analyze and identify potential marketing and advertising issues and proactively work to solve them
Project Management, Execution & Delivery
- Coordinate marketing deliverables across our team of specialists (strategy, creative, digital, traditional)
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure seamless client experience
- Adapt strategic goals based on client feedback and market trends
- Directly execute tasks related to client and company needs
- Ensure all work reflects the high-caliber execution our clients expect
Relationship Management & Growth
- Maintain strong client relationships to ensure trust, satisfaction and retention
- Identify opportunities to expand our partnerships and services within existing client relationships
- Represent Wabash & Lake's brand promise and reputation as a caring and trusted, long-term fractional marketing partner
- Support business development efforts and new client onboarding execution
Required Skills & Experience
Core Competencies
- Strategic Communication: Ability and awareness to adapt communication styles to match the culture of the clients we work with, from the executive level to single-owner small businesses
- Multi-disciplinary Marketing Knowledge: Understanding and continuing confidence in adapting and learning about both digital and traditional marketing and advertising channels, including event and cause-based marketing, foundational SEO and blog writing strategies, outbound messaging, marketing workflows, etc. Fear of learning will be identified quickly.
- Project Management Excellence: Proven ability to coordinate complex, multi-faceted marketing initiatives

Demonstrated Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, META business suite, and overall KPI analoand reporting experience
- Experience with marketing workflow automation platforms such as HubSpot, Keap, etc
- Experience with marketing software and tools such as Constant Contact, WordPress, Canva, etc.
- Strong communication, presentation creation and meeting facilitation skills, especially as related to owner/C-suite relationships
Preferred Additional Skills
- Copywriting and content creation abilities
- Design software competency - know how only as execution is covered by our in-house Creative Team
- Website management and basic editing competency
- Business development and consultative experience
Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in a marketing or advertising agency, as a marketing director, or in a B2B marketing consulting environment
- Background in client account management or marketing coordination
- Demonstrated success managing multiple client relationships simultaneously
- Experience working with C-level executives, small business owners, and decision-makers
- Track record of contributing to client retention and revenue growth
Work Environment & Conditions
Location: Richmond, VA area (home office-based with occasional client visits in Central Virginia)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, with flexibility for client events and project deadlines
Travel: Limited out-of-market travel may be required for select clients
