We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who combines strong production experience in Golang with a proven background in iGaming. Someone who turns complex third-party connections into reliable, scalable parts of our platform and owns what happens after go-live.

What you’ll do

You’ll own integrations from the first architectural decision to long-term production reliability, connecting our platform with external providers and partner systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role with technical influence. You’ll shape integration standards, guide implementation decisions, and mentor engineers while working closely with product, platform, security, and external partners. Bring a point of view, be ready to challenge and be challenged, and turn good discussions into working solutions.

You don’t ship and move on. What you ship carries your name. You validate it thoroughly, know why it’s ready, and stay accountable for how it performs in production. Deployment is a milestone, not the finish line.

AI is part of how you work, not a separate experiment. You’ll use it thoughtfully across development, testing, debugging, and documentation, while staying responsible for the quality, security, and correctness of the result.

Your day-to-day

• Design and build backend integrations in Golang, connecting third-party APIs, platforms, and services to business-critical workflows.
• Work hands-on with MySQL, optimizing queries, maintaining stored procedures, and implementing database changes.
• Own the full integration lifecycle: architecture, implementation, validation, release, and ongoing reliability.
• Ship with evidence, not assumptions. Test end to end, challenge failure scenarios, and address known risks before release. Verify production behavior afterward and follow issues through to resolution.
• Define reusable integration patterns and practical engineering standards, not documentation that gathers dust.
• Implement secure authentication and communication, with resilient error handling and recovery when things don’t go to plan.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex issues. Work with external vendors on technical requirements, API changes, and improvements.
• Use AI to explore solutions, improve test coverage, investigate issues, and reduce repetitive work. Review its output with the same rigor as any other code.
• Spar with colleagues on architecture and implementation choices, explain trade-offs, mentor engineers, and contribute to the integration roadmap.

What you bring

• 5+ years in backend engineering, preferably with experience designing and maintaining third-party integrations in production.
• Strong hands-on Golang experience is essential. You’ve built, shipped, and maintained production services in Go, not just explored it in a side project.
• Strong SQL and MySQL expertise is essential, including query optimization, stored procedures, and database performance tuning at scale. You know how to keep large datasets fast, reliable, and maintainable.
• Proven iGaming industry experience is a firm requirement. You understand the domain firsthand and have worked on backend systems or integrations within it. Experience in other integration-heavy industries adds value, but doesn’t replace this.
• AI is already embedded in your daily engineering practice. You know where it improves your work, where it needs checking, and when not to use it. You bring practical workflows, not just an interest in trying the tools.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, webhooks, SOAP, and event-driven architectures, messaging systems, or asynchronous communication.
• A deep understanding of authentication and API security, plus solid knowledge of caching and distributed systems.
• Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems, alongside familiarity with CI/CD, containers, and cloud environments.
• The ability to lead technical initiatives and influence architectural decisions with clear reasoning.
• Pride in what carries your name. “It works on my machine” isn’t your definition of done. You validate the complete workflow and own the outcome beyond deployment.
• Ownership without ego. You follow through, flag problems early, and ask for another perspective. You can defend an idea, change your mind when someone makes a stronger case, and commit to building the solution together.
