Software Engineer in Test

Role Description:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for web and API applications.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to define acceptance criteria and build robust test coverage.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration tests both automated and manual depending on project needs.
• Proactively identify defects, log detailed bug reports, and track resolutions.
• Provide QA coverage during core hours to support the engineering team and ensure rapid turnaround on issues.
• Contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring seamless deployments.
• Participate in code reviews and provide input on overall quality and performance improvements.

For Senior/Experienced SDET:

• 4+ years of QA automation experience in web/e-commerce environments.
• Strong proficiency with automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar).
• Solid programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Familiarity with API testing (Postman, REST Assured) and performance testing tools.

For Intermediate SDET + Manual QA:

• 2–4 years of QA experience (mix of manual and automation).
• Hands-on testing experience in web/e-commerce applications.
• Exposure to test automation (basic scripting in Cypress/Playwright/Selenium preferred).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile processes.
• Excellent defect reporting, test case design, and execution skills.
