job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Marketing Executive / Marketing Officer to join our Sales & Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the pigment, specialty chemicals, or related manufacturing industry and will be responsible for managing customer relationships, coordinating order execution, supporting business development initiatives, and ensuring seamless communication between customers and internal departments.

This role requires excellent coordination skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service while contributing to business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure long-term business partnerships.
  • Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate product recommendations and commercial support.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly communicate production status, delivery schedules, and order updates to customers.

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and support customer acquisition initiatives.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and process order confirmations.
  • Follow up with customers for purchase orders, repeat business, and new product requirements.
  • Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, exhibitions, and industry events to strengthen business relationships.

Order Coordination & Execution

  • Coordinate with the Production team to ensure timely manufacturing and production planning.
  • Work closely with Dispatch and Logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts department to monitor outstanding receivables and support payment collections.
  • Ensure smooth coordination across departments to achieve timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate customer databases, sales records, and order documentation.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and marketing reports.
  • Monitor order progress and ensure compliance with internal processes and customer commitments.

Qualifications

  • MBA in Marketing or
  • Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Marketing from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in the Pigment, Dyes, Specialty Chemicals, Chemicals, Paints, Plastics, Masterbatch, Coatings, or related manufacturing industries.
  • Prior experience in B2B Industrial Sales or Marketing is highly preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong customer relationship management and account handling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good negotiation, coordination, and follow-up abilities.
  • Sound understanding of industrial sales and marketing processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Production, Dispatch, Logistics, and Accounts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems will be an added advantage.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
