What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineer, you’ll dive into cutting-edge graphics and AI technologies to shape the future of medical imaging. Your work will directly improve patient care by making radiology workflows more efficient and intuitive.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop 3D graphics software using the latest GPU APIs.
• Design algorithms that streamline radiology tasks and enhance visualization.
• Integrate third-party tools to improve workflows and performance.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on system design and implementation.
• Write clean, efficient code in C#.
• Test and tune performance across CPU and GPU environments.
• Own small projects from design to delivery, showcasing your independence and creativity.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for someone who’s passionate about technology and eager to make a difference in healthcare.

Required skills:

• C#/C++ expertise.
• 3D graphics concepts and APIs (DirectX, Vulkan, OpenGL).
• Shader languages (HLSL, GLSL).
• Unit and integration testing experience.

Preferred skills:

• Desktop UI libraries (WinForms or WPF).
• GPU computing (DirectCompute, OpenCL, CUDA).
• AI algorithms for image-based machine learning.
• Compression/decompression for image and video.
• Python proficiency for scripting and automation.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of directly related experience
• Or 5+ years of directly related experience

Job Classification:

Sedentary – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. A sedentary job involves sitting most of the time.

The salary for this position is $110,000-$130,000 per year. The range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. In addition to base pay, vRad offers eligible team members and their dependents comprehensive health benefits and programs including medical, vision, dental, life insurance and more.
