Job Summary:

Voyagerr is looking for a Head of Sales & Marketing to help us to shape our vision, lead high-performing teams and deliver exceptional results in a fast-moving market. This position can be based in France, Sweden or Germany. In this position you will own the revenue targets across our portfolio and geographies, ensuring alignment with market opportunities, customer needs, and business goals. You will be responsible for overall tender (bid) management, existing customer account management (including back to base sales) as well as driving growth from new customers. Managing a small team of sales managers located in each of our geographies, you will define together with the Leadership Team, the strategy for revenue growth.

In addition, you may also be asked to:

Serve as Office Lead for a nearby office to your home base, fostering team culture, representing local needs in company leadership for work environment, and ensuring smooth office operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Management of the sales function across all geographies

  • Put in place and manage a transparent process of pipeline management and prioritization that is updated weekly, together with the Leadership Team, in line with the company goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the revenue forecast, and regular monitoring of sales vs. target, as well as revenue recognition phasing. Regular detailed reviews (at least monthly) of the revenue forecast vs actuals is necessary and a strong knowledge of each key sales opportunity in play at any time.
  • Monitor work done vs. commission targets of team members, ensuring that a fair process is in place and regularly followed.

2. Driving net revenue growth for Voyagerr across priority markets

  • Network actively in the external market and within the Modaxo & Volaris group to proactively identify and nurture new customers and emerging market trends. Account Manage personally a series of existing large accounts and drive certain target markets personally.
  • Ensure that we are registered on all relevant public sector procurement databases in each market, with processes in place to proactively monitor new tender releases.
  • Together with the Head of Product, study competitor activity and analyse actions needed for Voyagerr to remain in a leading position
  • Represent Voyagerr at key industry exhibitions and conferences
  • Put in place and manage a process for prioritizing new markets, customers & leads, in order to maximise results from the sales & marketing budget.
  • Own the sales & marketing ratio as well as the Organic Growth and Net Recurring Revenue targets, designing, getting approval for and delivering on a plan to achieve these objectives.
  • Input to the Head of Marketing the needs and priorities for external campaigns across all media.

3. Account management of existing customers

  • Develop a strong understanding of customer value, and key ratios to improve, on a customer by customer basis, proposing strategies for increasing back to base sales, and reducing attrition through regular tracked customer contacts.
  • Ensure that the sales team is regularly in contact with our customers, and remaining particularly close to high value customers. Measure sales team on this activity.
  • Create a transparent process tracking any outstanding deliverables, quotes, demos or answers to questions from customers, and project manage with the product, development and operations teams that these issues are resolved as soon as possible, and that the customer is aware when we will resolve them.

4. Tender management

  • Propose and create a continuous improvement process for response templates that showcase in the best possible way the Voyagerr brand, products & customer proposition.
  • Together with the sales team reporting in to you, project manage the bid process, ensuring that:
  • Modaxo validations are put in place & documentation fully prepared for this
  • Tender requirements are ascertained promptly
  • that product, operations and development teams contributing to the response are briefed and given adequate time to contribute in a clear and transparent project plan
  • standard answers for generic, administrative or frequent requirements are created and regularly updated, and owned by the sales team
  • the overall response is written in a homogeneous tone and style, with consistent and persuasive answers
  • high quality demo platforms are available for each major market & language, and regularly updated

5. Team & People Leadership

  • Line manage, coach, and develop sales team members – currently 2 FTE (UK), 3 FTE (Scandinavia)
  • Foster team growth, skills development, and performance
  • Lead team planning, career development, and regular feedback processes
  • Drive a positive and inclusive culture within the team and office
  • Forecast future resource needs based on roadmap and delivery targets

6. Office Responsibilities (Site Leadership)

  • Act as a local leader for an office located in your home country
  • Oversee practical aspects of office operations (with support from office admin / HR as relevant) including any rental agreements and office moves
  • Drive team culture and engagement locally (arrange activities, team lunches, Christmas dinners or other)
  • Support onboarding and integration of new employees in the office
  • Be a key point of contact for local office-related matters
  • Remain alert to motivational issues of team members in the office, and work with the relevant line manager and HR Head to support team members who need it.
  • Have a regular presence in the office (aiming to be present each week), remaining available to team members who wish to discuss with a manager face to face.

Key competencies

  • A proactive problem solver with a can-do attitude
  • Experience of managing European sales teams across many countries in a SaaS environment, not necessarily transport related though experience of public sector procurement ideal
  • Experience of managing tenders, owning a process, defining pricing and writing bids
  • Multi-lingual – fluent written & spoken English + either Swedish & Danish and/or French & German ideal.
  • Highly organized, with excellent collaboration skills across a transversal leadership team
  • A concrete down to earth outgoing communication style with external customers & stakeholders, able to dig into details, present with fluidity & positivity, whilst respecting all principles of ethics & honesty in our answers.
  • A strong team leader who encourages & motivates his/her team to surpass expectations, and respects their well-being
