Software Engineer

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using pytest to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Write and execute comprehensive test cases, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application features and create effective testing strategies.
• Continuously improve the test automation process by identifying gaps and proposing enhancements.
• Analyze test results, report defects, and track them until resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers on testing methodologies and code quality.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/ME/EE and minimum of 2 - 4 years technical Development experience, or equivalent
• Proven experience in Python development, with a strong focus on test automation.
• Proficient in using pytest for writing and executing tests.
• Experience with other testing frameworks or tools (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework).
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience in testing web services.
• Knowledge of terminal based scripting (e.g., Batch, Bash, PS, etc)
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Have:

• Familiarity with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber, or Behave.
• Knowledge of remote procedure call frameworks like GRPC for application communication.
• Understanding of database management and experience with SQL for validating data.
• Experience in developing test scripts for windows UI-based applications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

The base compensation range for this position is $80K to $130kper year. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
