We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer—a leader in the discovery, design, and delivery of innovative, user-centered products— to join our team. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional squads, including Product Managers and Tech Leads, to deeply understand our customers' needs and design experiences that are intuitive, scalable, and measurable.
Job Description
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Discovery and Research: Own the discovery phase—conducting hands-on research, experimentation, and frequent user testing to ensure the voice of the customer is captured and validated throughout the design process. Conduct usability testing, user interviews, and data analysis to iterate and refine insights, prioritize features, and shape product direction.
- Create a Unified Product Experience: Collaborate with product leadership to define and design a cohesive experience across our portfolio. Ensure consistency in interaction patterns, UI frameworks, and design systems, reinforcing a unified brand identity and seamless user journey.
- Design User-Centered Solutions: Bring ideas to life through wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes. Employ interaction design best practices, visual design standards, and accessibility guidelines to deliver frictionless experiences across products.
- Leverage Data and AI Tools: Integrate insights from usability studies, behavioral analytics, and user feedback. Utilize modern, AI-powered design and research tools (e.g., Uizard, Galileo AI, Maze) to accelerate prototyping, analysis, and experimentation.
- Communicate and Collaborate: Present design rationale clearly, backed by data and user insights. Foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders around design outcomes that deliver both user and business value.
Who You Are
- User-Centric Problem Solver: You approach design with empathy, always considering user context, constraints, and goals. You’re focused on solving the right problems and elevating user satisfaction.
- Experienced and Versatile Designer: 8+ years of UX/UI design experience with expertise in tools like Figma, InVision, Sketch, Axure, and Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with responsive and adaptive design across mobile and web.
- Data-Informed and Impact-Oriented: You balance creativity with a rigorous approach to testing and validation. You actively measure the success of your designs through usability metrics, OKRs, and feedback loops.
- Mentor and Team Builder: You’ve supported junior designers or team members in previous roles and are eager to contribute to a learning-focused, high-performing team culture.
- AI-Curious and Forward-Thinking: You stay up to date with emerging technologies, including AI-based design tools, and are excited to experiment with new ways to deliver efficiency and insight through innovation.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with modern design systems such as Fluent (Microsoft) or Material (Google) is a plus.
- Experience with AI-powered UX research or prototyping tools.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
- Experience working in transit, mobility, or public sector software products (a plus, not required).
- Familiarity with front-end development or working closely with engineering on design handoff and implementation.
Location & Travel
This is a remote role, with up to 25% travel expected for onsite workshops, user research sessions, and team & company events. Candidates must be based in the U.S. or Canada and able to travel as needed.
