UX/UI Designer – Design Systems Specialist

VOIT is a startup specializing in design systems. We are committed to delivering outstanding digital experiences and are looking for a UX/UI Designer specializing in design systems to help scale and enhance our design language across multiple products.

Role Overview

We are seeking a UX/UI Designer with strong expertise in design systems to lead the creation, maintenance, and evolution of our design framework. You will collaborate with product designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability across all digital experiences.

Responsibilities

- Develop and Maintain Design Systems: Establish and manage a scalable design system, including UI components, patterns, typography, colors, and interaction guidelines.

- Ensure Design Consistency: Enforce design standards across all products and ensure seamless handoffs between design and development teams.

- Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to integrate the design system into various products.

- Document and Educate: Create comprehensive documentation, guidelines, and best practices to support designers and developers in using the system effectively.

- Optimize for Accessibility & Performance: Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG) and optimize components for performance across platforms.

- Iterate & Improve: Continuously refine and enhance the design system based on user feedback, usability research, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong focus on design systems.

- Expertise in Figma.

- Experience in building and scaling design systems with reusable components and patterns.

- Strong knowledge of responsive design, typography, color theory, and layout principles.

- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and inclusive design.

- Ability to create detailed documentation, style guides, and usage guidelines.

- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to advocate for design system adoption across teams.

- Experience with token-based design systems and variable-driven components is a plus.
