About the Role
Level Up is VNG Games' gaming platform, spanning a web experience and a desktop Launcher used by players every day. We're looking for a UI Designer with strong visual craft to own the look and feel of both products — Someone who can take a feature from rough flow to polished, shippable UI, and make gaming interfaces feel exciting without sacrificing usability.
This is a UI-heavy hybrid role: you'll handle UX thinking (flows, wireframes, edge cases) for your features, but your core strength should be visual design and graphic execution.
What You'll Do
- Design end-to-end UI for Level Up Web and Level Up Launcher: feature screens, states, and interaction details ready for engineering handoff.
- Produce strong graphic/visual assets: iconography, illustrations, and motion/micro-animations that fit a gaming audience.
- Translate feature requirements from PMs into user flows and wireframes before moving to high-fidelity design.
- Collaborate closely with product designer and engineers during implementation; review builds and ensure design quality ships as intended.
- Iterate based on player feedback, data, and usability findings.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of UI/product design experience with at least one shipped web or desktop product.
- A portfolio showing strong visual craft: typography, color, layout, and attention to detail — gaming or entertainment work is a plus.
- Strong graphic design, illustration, and motion skills: you can create original visual assets, illustrations, and micro-animations, not only product UI.
- Proficiency in Figma and the Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator); comfortable maintaining a design system.
- Working knowledge of UX fundamentals: you can structure a flow, define states and edge cases, and justify design decisions.
- Able to communicate design rationale clearly with PMs and engineers.
Nice to Have
- English communication skills.
- Ability to use AI tools to create prototypes (e.g., Figma Make, v0, Lovable, Cursor).
- Advanced motion tooling (After Effects, Lottie, Rive) beyond in-Figma prototyping.
- Experience designing for desktop applications or game launchers/clients.
