Data Scientist (Machine Learning) - Onsite Bank - Offer 50M

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our banking project, where you will build and optimize machine learning models that support customer engagement, recommendation, and business growth.

You will work closely with data and business teams to develop production-ready ML solutions, improve model performance, and deliver data-driven insights for large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize machine learning models for customer propensity prediction and recommendation.
• Build features from customer behavior, interaction data, and business context.
• Develop ranking models to improve CTR, engagement, and conversion.
• Handle cold-start scenarios for new users and new products.
• Improve model performance through feature engineering, model tuning, and bias reduction techniques.
• Evaluate models using metrics such as AUC, CTR, NDCG, MRR, and Precision@K.
• Build scalable data pipelines for training and inference.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready ML solutions.
• Present technical findings and recommendations to business stakeholders.

Location: Onsite bank fulltime at Hoan Kiem, Ha Noi

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models in production.
• Experience with predictive modeling using algorithms such as XGBoost or LightGBM.
• Solid understanding of feature engineering, model evaluation, and model optimization.
• Good understanding of statistics and machine learning fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with MLOps or ML model deployment.
• Experience with AWS SageMaker or cloud-based ML platforms.
• Knowledge of A/B Testing and experimentation.
• Experience working with recommendation systems or banking-related data.
• Familiarity with Spark or distributed data processing.
