About the role

We are looking for a skilled Senior .NET Software Engineer to join an Agile/Scrum squad, collaborating with senior software engineers, testers, DevOps professionals, and the Software Engineering Manager to develop the Vimachem Pharma 4.0 Platform.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering high-quality software solutions that align with the specifications and requirements of Vimachem’s innovative platform. This is a critical position within our Engineering team, offering visibility and influence in shaping the future of our products.

Tech stack

Most of our sites and services are built with .NET Core. On the front end, we rely on Angular for application development, along with PrimeNG to enhance responsiveness and UI components. For storage, we primarily use PostgreSQL and MongoDB, but we also leverage TimescaleDB where appropriate. We use Lucene Search for quick and efficient search functionality. MassTransit serves as our preferred solution for handling message-based communication. We use Azure DevOps for version control and continuous integration, along with the Atlassian stack for managing tickets and documentation.

About You

• You are a senior-level engineer with a strong background in designing and developing robust, scalable, and maintainable systems. You take a proactive approach to architecture, problem-solving, and mentoring less experienced team members.
• You have excellent communication skills and thrive in cross-functional teams. You drive alignment by clearly articulating technical decisions and collaborating effectively across roles.
• You take full ownership of your work, consistently seeking ways to improve quality, performance, and team velocity. You balance delivering short-term impact with building for the long term.
• You are passionate about modern software engineering practices and continuously seek opportunities to evolve and enhance both product and process. You understand that user experience and maintainability go hand in hand, and you ensure your solutions support both.

The main qualifications for the Senior .NET Software Engineer role are:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience or specialized training) in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in .NET technologies: C#, .NET Core, Web API Development.
• Demonstrated experience working with distributed architectures and microservices.
• Strong understanding of web fundamentals such as HTTP, REST, and API design best practices.
• Solid grasp of algorithms, design patterns, and software architecture principles.
• Experience with unit and integration testing, TDD, and maintaining high-quality test coverage.
• Proficiency with SQL and Entity Framework, and familiarity with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB.
• Proven ability to develop high-performance, API-driven web applications.
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code (Clean Code, Clean Architecture, SOLID).
• Comfortable conducting code reviews, providing technical guidance, and mentoring teammates.
• Positive, proactive, and collaborative mindset with a strong sense of team ownership.
• Willingness to stay current with evolving tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to untangle complex technical challenges.
