🚀 Founding Engineer Wanted for Village: Full Stack or Front End 🚀

Location: London-preferred but remote possible within Europe / Asia

Compensation: Market rate startup salary + equity package

You know about the loneliness problem. What you probably don’t know is that is that 75% of loneliness is due to lack of meaningful and deep connections with existing circles (friends, family, partner). While current social tools fulfill many purposes they fall short in meaningfully connecting us.

Enter Village. A private social app for personal relationships, with a fun and thoughtful AI companion.

The companion’s role is to be a social health wizard and add a bit of magic to each relationship. It’s there to observe, learn and provide personalized tools that increase the quality and frequency of connections. Even when life, time, or distance get in the way. It’s not “anti-social media” but it definitely is “pro human-human connection.”

We’re on a clear path to monetization, while expanding our network of high-value-add investors in the consumer tech space, primarily in the UK. The founding team brings deep experience across applied AI, LLMs, product, human-centered design, and psychology.

Since we launched beta, we’ve seen strong early traction. The signals are clear, our core hypotheses have been validated and we’re smashing industry benchmarks, fast. We need a Full Stack Enginner or someone who’s experienced with Front End, who is experienced with React Native to help us build and scale.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and product direction. You will:

• Own the front-end build and architecture of the Village mobile app (iOS & Android)
• Collaborate closely with the CTO, CPO and CEO on features, flows, and future-state vision
• Implement UI designs from Figma (or co-create them) with polish, animation, and care
• Help make architectural decisions as we scale from frameworks to performance
• Ensure delightful and accessible UX across devices and user types
• Prototype quickly, test often, and iterate based on real user feedback
• Bring your ideas—on user experience, growth, retention, and AI integration into the room
• Shape engineering culture, stack, and standards as a founding team member
• If you’re full stack, you will also take ownership of the backend
